Targa
is a 2200 kilometer race around beautiful Newfoundland by many teams
from around the world. "...It's like sitting in the backseat of the racecar from my desk..." This effort is to serve as an example of what can be accomplished when a team pulls together to overcome limitations. Rick MacLeod in his beauty 700HP '99 Mustang is a living example of how people with MS can participate and win in life. Watch him 360 for the crowd along with Navigator Steve McKelvie. Everyone is capable of using creativity, imagination, skill and passion to make change. We will win. This
site can host 250 simultaneous connections.
NOTE - FOR THE BEST EXPERIENCE WITH THE MAPS,, SET YOUR BROWSER TO REFRESH UPON EVERY VIST. FOR IEXPORER, THIS IS IN THE TOOLS/INTERNET OPTIONS/BROWSING HISTORY/ SETTINGS... If your page map does not update, then close/open the browser. The camera in the live views is optimized for video and audio broadcasting. For this reason, and to maximize the number of concurrent connections, we have kept the 'screen' small.

The
'LIVE' link will tune you into the broadcast from the racecar. Keep
in mind that this is live - as it happens – drama and there
is no edit. However, if you don't hear audio but do see video, then
the drivers have turned off the mic for a moment of private conversation.
The 'VIEW' page will feature video from the previous day for those who missed it live (and some surprises). The 'GIVE' link will take you to Rick's page where you can read his story and make a donation to the MS Society of Atlantic Canada. The
"SCENES" link opens a whole new browser window. This is
all the same choices as above except that these are broadcasts from
behind the scenes. You will be able to view behind the scenes settings Remember this is a protoype site, LIVE from a racecar moving at speed from town to town. Coverage is expected for at least 70% of the time, depending on the area of Newfoundland. In short - This is real life. Enjoy. |
